vscode + cline as replacement of windsurf and cursor

cline

Yesterday I just found an interesting project cline, which is a VSCode extension that can be configured to use the DeepSeek model, a low-cost AI suit that can be used to replace Windsurf and Cursor.

I tried the combination, and in its latest release (v3.0.0), the auto-approve feature is awesome. It allows you to enable the IDE to read, edit, and execute cmd/mcp servers without any manual approval. Once enabled, you can chat with cline and ask it to implement the code for you.

Things don’t always go well, though. I found that after several iterations, cline will show that it has reached the limit of the context window and ask me to open a new task. However, the code is not usable yet. I also found the issue on its GitHub page and will keep an eye on it.
